This 2.5-year restoration wound down just in time for the Spring flying season. We took a little longer than normal to finish this for two reasons: we had two aircraft arrive the same weekend for complete restorations. One was Michael's, and he said he wasn't in a hurry to get it back. Why? Because he wasn't even a pilot!

So in the last few years, he has earned his private pilot's license, and purchased a Cub and built some tail wheel time. He picked up his new plane in Spring 2005, and he and his instructor took her to a new home. You have to hand it to a guy who will commit to a project of this magnitude and follow through on it. He is also lucky enough to have a lovely wife--Cindy--who was an enthusiastic supporter.
