Galesburg

If you have any interest in Stearmans, or just want to go to a laid-back old-fashioned fly-in, Galesburg is the place. Located in the farmland of western Illinois, not far from the Mississippi River, the small town of Galesburg is the ideal location to enjoy flying old Bi-planes. It's nice and quiet, nothing but corn fields and friendly people.

There is something to do every day, from flying out to a nearby grass strip for a great meal, hanging out on the flight line talking to old friends, or going to the hangar party at night. Here are some pictures from 2004. For more info, vist their website
Budweiser and the Stearman fly in; does it get any better?
Team Australia
A Lockheed Constellation was on the ramp at Galesburg and took several Stearman pilots for a ride. We even got to fly her for awhile!
First Officer White getting some stick time in the Connie. Nice airplane--but not enough wind or noise. Maybe if I open a window?
